I want to personally thank you for visiting the website of Global Executive Talent. I appreciate your interest, and hope you will spend a few minutes reading about our company, and its unique, specialized services.
During the course of my work life over the last 20 years, I have witnessed many major changes in the world of business. But nothing comes close to one fundamental change that has happened over the last decade – the rise of India and China. A recent study by PWC predicts that China and India will join the US at the top of the GDP table by the year 2020, and that the three together will make up for more than 50% of the world’s economies by 2050! The same study mentions that India will be the fastest growing large economy in the world for the foreseeable future given its favorable demographics and lower base.
This changing world order poses both challenges and opportunities for today’s businesses. It is no longer possible for global companies, whether they are start-ups or established firms, to focus only on Western markets. An India Center no longer implies just a cost lowering offshore base. Instead, it now implies a critical operation where, perhaps, future products and services will be designed and engineered. It could be the place to understand new competition that will emerge from these markets. Similarly, domestic companies in places like India can no longer operate in a “protected” environment. They will face increasing international competition on their home turf. They will be held up to global standards when it comes to product quality, customer service or corporate governance. They cannot pursue the traditional approach of slow cautious growth that afforded them the luxury of making a number of mistakes and still surviving.
The ability of today’s organizations to grapple with this fundamental shift in markets and economies is going to be a key determinant of what separates the winners from the losers, in the very near future. The next decade is going to be about driving change across organizations. And this will happen only with the right executives at the helm who understand and appreciate the need for this change. I call them the transformational executives - executives who lead the way and, through their results, change mind-sets within organizations. Identifying such executives requires a keen appreciation of this changing economic order, a good understanding of specific business contexts, and an extensive reach to such executives across the globe.
This is the raison d’ętre for Global Executive Talent. We are an executive search firm that is sharply focused on working with companies that embrace the global business model. We work with them in redefining the classical roles to incorporate new business realities, and help identify the right executives who can take on these exciting leadership roles, be they in the US, India, China or Singapore.
We, at Global Executive Talent, see a clear need in the market for specialized senior executive search services focused on transformational talent, and believe that we are strongly positioned to cater effectively to this need. Our website is simply designed to tell you who we are, what we do, and for whom we do it. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions, comments or feedback.
Sincerely,
Anuradha Parthasarathy
